Conversations with Friends

Here’s what I love about conversations with friends — it’s that you can be completely open at that very moment — let it all fly and they’ll see in you who you are and what you feel at that present moment. They’ll know you enough to realize that you may not feel or even believe the same thing in 20 minutes.

Impressive? I think friendship is. It’s the essence of an ongoing conversation that keeps friendships alive — the mutuality of asking one another more questions, stating more thoughts and statements that maybe none of us really believe — we’re just thinking.

So you see, friends aren’t out to nail each other to a board on statements they say — they understand that statements are a part of the much greater story of life and adventure.
