A Community Called Taizé: A Story of Prayer, Worship and Reconciliation | Book Review
January 4, 2010
A great read about a very neat, desirable community.
My take-aways:
"[The music isn't] cluttered with complex concepts, wordy phrasing, and awkward and complicated melodies – characteristics of many of the hymns I grew up with."
"What it boils down to is that we need to ask ourselves what we want for ourselves, our families, our churches and the spiritual lives of our communities."
I would love to take a trip to France and experience this community in person. I think they’re getting at something very needed in my soul and in the souls of several who have told me a bit of their pilgrimage story.
