Young Adults and Leadership

I invite you to read Sam Rainer’s blog about young adults and leadership. I find it very refreshing. I’d love to hear your thoughts about it.

What I hear:

  1. Leadership is relationship.
  2. We young adults crave authentic guidance. We’re looking for people who are worth following. This is a search for character.
  3. We see leadership as life-giving.

  1. I automatically think of the Simple Church paradigm of tour guides and travel agents. Young people don’t want to be told what to do and how to do it (travel agent), we want to be shown what should be done and shown how to do it by someone with credibility (tour guide)
