In all of this, there’s an invitation to recollect, take a moment to think back on the day or something like that. Pause. I think that’s something many of us really need these days. Time to think.
Some of my favorite teachers have always talked about the necessity of intentional planning. About time for pause and spiritual recollection (otherwise known as the old practice of examen), it can be helpful for us to block out a little piece of the day where we intentionally focus on thinking back, looking for God at work. Sometimes a journal helps with this.
